NLA Service Update - Final

The issue at our hosting centre has been resolved. We do not expect any further interruptions to the service tonight.

We are doing our best to try and get as much content complete by the normal deadlines as possible. However it is reasonable to assume some titles will be delivered late.

We will send out an overview of the delivery timings in the morning once we have had a chance to analyse the logs.

Sorry for the interruption.

NLA Service Update

NLA Digital's Internet facing services are currently unavailable. We began to lose internet facing services at approximately 22:30. Our hosting provider, BSG, is aware of the issue and an engineer is at the Level3 data centre working to resolve it.

The issue is believed to be within BSG's core network and is affecting multiple BSG customers.

Further updates will be issued as we learn more.

NLA Service Announcement 24-09-07

Our Cisco PIX firewalls, which sit between our front and back end networks, will be replaced, with Cisco ASA firewalls, on Thursday 4th October 2007 at 19:00. The PIX devices are currently the only part of our data centre infrastructure which operate at 100Mbps, while all other devices operate at 1000Mbps. The upgrade will provide 10 times the throughput between our web/FTP servers and the rest of our network.

If all goes according to plan, we expect no more than a 15 minute outage. The outage will affect eClips and ClipShare web services and all FTP services (publisher and client).

This work is scheduled maintenance and is taking place outside a Peak Period as required in the licence.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
